Who doesn’t want to make money?
How about making enough money that affords you to work from home and raise your kids, too?
If any of the above applies to you, then you will want to keep reading here. You also will reach out to me as I am offering my services to help others also make money blogging, too.
See, over 4 years ago I myself took a leap of faith as a relatively new blogger to step out of my comfort zone working out of my home all while writing on my own blog.
If you do blog and are looking to make money while blogging, then I am happy to share that it can be done. I am living proof as I have stated earlier.
Don’t get me wrong there is nothing such as easy money, but still with hard work, persistence and dedication, blogging to make money from home can indeed be accomplished.
Today, I am happy to share some of the opportunities that exist for bloggers to make money that I have had personal experience with myself.
1. Paid Advertising or Ad Networks –
Whether you place advertisements from actual Ad Networks or you offer paid advertising from other bloggers or even Etsy shop owners, you can indeed make money by having ads placed on your blog.
With Ad Networks, you make money from simple click throughs. Meaning if someone clicks the ad placed on your site, you make money. So the more clicks, you get the more money you make. Conversely from accepting paid advertising, you make a pre-set amount of money for running ads.
Either way, advertising is a great way to make money on blogs.
A few to sites to look at for getting started with Ad Networks:
2. Affiliate Marketing –
With affiliate marketing, you also can run ads for a wide range of different companies, but in this case you only get paid upon actual purchases made through these ads. So, if a person clicks on the ad, but doesn’t purchase, you will not get paid in most cases.
Also, with affiliate marketing, you can sometimes make money by writing blog posts about a special promotion the affiliate company at hand is running, doing product reviews for them and more.
Affiliate marketing is also a great way to make revenue while blogging.
A few to look sites to look at to work with for affiliate marketing:
3. Sponsored Product Reviews –
Whether you are contacted privately to write a sponsored post or you belong to sponsored influencer program that you can sign up for paid opportunities to write for varied companies, there is definitely money to be made reviewing all sorts of products/services and sponsoring them on your blog.
A few to look at for Sponsored Product Review Opportunities:
4. Paid Writing Opportunities for Writers-
There are many sites out there looking for writers in special niches that do pay. You can google this or even look to sites that do the legwork for you in finding opportunities.
But if you are wanting to make money writing on other sites, big or small, you have to put yourself out there and your blog is a great resource for those who are looking for writers to check out some of your own writing samples to see if you are a fit for them. So blogging in this sense can help get your writing seen on bigger and more advantageous sites that do indeed pay for these services.
A few to look at to get started with Paid Writing Opportunities:
- The Mix – Hearst Magazines
- The Washington Post Talent Network
- BlogHer
- PopSugar
- Babble
5. Offer Your Own Products/Services –
Do you have a special product or service that you can offer? Well, you can most definitely use your blog to showcase this.
Whether you are wanting to write a book or tutorial or you want to offer your service, such as consulting, design, photography or you are crafty wanting to sell printables, jewelry or more, such as what you may find on Etsy, you can use your blog to help sell yourself.
Many have done it, including myself with offering my design services with J9 Designs. Trust me is you have a service or product that others would be interested in paying for, blogging is a wonderful way to get yourself out there and indeed make money.

It is a “win-win” for everyone involved. Great summary of the benefits. Or course, there are non-paid benefits as well, like getting to know the generous people of the blogging community:)

What awesome insights Janine. I have tried all of these strategies. My favourite is product creation because you set the price tag / determine how much you want to make from it.
Thank you so much for including me in your round-up of examples. I’m truly flattered!
Wishing you a lovely day!
xoxo

Thank you for this information. My blog is still fairly new and my stats are not good enough yet to monetize but I do hope to do that in another year or so. You gave the resources in such an organized way.
